It is not only a Unique edition of original inventions, but also an entirely new timepiece, a creation with its own movement, its own displays and an asymmetrical case.
The major exclusivity of the Invention Piece 2 is its Quadruple Tourbillon, made up of two systems of double cages, each including an inclined tourbillon, coupled by a spherical differential. The average of the two systems and the performance of the spherical differential compensate for positional errors and improve the accuracy of the time measurement.
The Invention Piece 2 displays an "open heart" architecture where each of the complex mechanisms is exposed voluntarily, meticulously and to its advantage. The whole is balanced, harmonious. The case back of the Invention Piece 2 reveals a personal message from Greubel Forsey. Engraved and hand finished, this message retraces the history of the invention of the Quadruple Tourbillon.

Quadruple TourbillonEach of the four tourbillons connected to a spherical differential contributes independently to obtain a precise and reliable timing rate especially in stable positions. The spherical differential transmits the average timing rate of the four tourbillons, thus improving the chronometric performance of all the regulating organs.
