Signature 1
66 pieces (2016-2022) | White gold | Red gold | Platinum | Stainless steelFor each of these new Signature creations, one talented watchmaker will elaborate his or her timepiece within Greubel Forsey’s universe. Drawing on the Atelier’s resources such as components, the watchmaker will operate following Greubel Forsey’s philosophy, and benefit from the skills and expertise specific to the watchmaking Atelier. This framework will guarantee the brand’s characteristic standards of excellence, both in terms of technical craftsmanship and aesthetics.
The watchmaker expresses him or herself within this structure, while enjoying a considerable amount of freedom, particularly regarding technical, architectural and decorative aspects of the timepiece. This watchmaker co-signs the creation with Greubel Forsey.
This adventure once again testifies to Greubel Forsey’s commitment to inscribe its approach of contemporary watchmaking with a project aimed at preserving the heritage of watchmaking excellence by passing on knowledge. The Signature project intends to further extend this desire to convey a particular vision of fine watchmaking to future generations: that of timepieces primarily realized by visionary men and women, served by excellent technology and expertise, which must be preserved.
The Signature 1 was imagined by Didier Cretin. For the first time in the history of the company, he has created a manually wound timepiece with three hands, without a Tourbillon function, which instead features an exclusively designed Greubel Forsey balance wheel.
